Monday and Tuesday classes, Middle School classes (except for MS/HS Ballet & Pointe Classes), Tot Spot, & Boys Only Hip-Hop Class will perform during our 1:00 pm show.
Wednesday and Thursday classes, High School classes and Middle & High School Ballet & Pointe classes will perform during our 6:00 pm show.
Important Recital Dates
February 20, 2026 – Please let us know via email by February 20, 2026, if your child WILL NOT be participating in the recital.
February 23rd – 26th, 2026 – Dancer measurement week for recital attire. Completed during normal class times.
February 27th, 2026 – Costuming attire fee due.
Starting February 23rd, 2026, teachers start introducing students to their recital pieces, music and concepts. After February break, it will be imperative that students attend as many classes as possible since we will start learning all recital pieces.
April 13th, 2026 – $55 Recital Fee due.
April 20th, 2026 – Recital Ticket sales begin during normal class times.
May 1st, 2026 – Class Parent Volunteer required by this date.
May 15th, 2026 – Rehearsal at the Pike County Auditorium – The 1:00 PM Show will rehearse at 4:30 – 5:30 pm and the 6:00 PM Show will rehearse at 6:30 – 7:30 pm at the Pike Auditorium.
May 16th, 2026, 1:00 pm & 6:00 pm – Recitals at Pike County Auditorium. We ask that students arrive 30 minutes early dressed and ready to perform. More information will be announced closer to time for class meeting areas.
May 16th, 2026, 3:30 pm – PCDA Competition Team Showcase Fundraiser at Pike County Auditorium. $5 per ticket.
Spring Recital Information
Recital Production Opening Number Opportunity We are again doing an opening number that will be performed at both recitals. Dancers who are grades 1 and up, can participate in this optional opportunity. We will use this piece to open for both recitals at 1:00 & 6:00 pm on May 16th. Dancers must be able to make it to the choreography and practice sessions in order to participate and must be able to perform at both recitals. Once performed during a recital, dancers can leave if it is not "their" recital. Costumes will be something simple like leggins and their PCDA red t-shirts.

Father & Daughter Recital Closing Number Saturday, May 9th 10:00 - 1:00 AM If your dancer and their father and/or father-figure would like to be a part of our recital closing numbers, we will learn the dance on Saturday, May 9th at 10:00 - 11:00 am. Dancers will perform with their fathers during their normal recital time. They are not required to perform at both recitals. This is a simple and fun dance, so dads don't have to worry about being perfect. This opportunity is available to ALL ages and grades.
Class Parent Volunteers Needed We need 1-2 Volunteers for each class during our recital. These parents will be in charge of the class groups during the recital. They will sit with the children during the show and help us to keep them safe and secure. Volunteers can be male or female for Grades 1-5. Volunteers for Middle and High School must be a female since they will be in dressing rooms. Please email the studio or see the front desk to volunteer. Parent volunteers do not require a ticket.
Recital Picture Day Friday, April 17th 5:00 - 8:00 pm & Saturday, April 18th 3:00 - 5:30 pm If you would like to have your dancer photographed in their recital costumes, we will have an in-studio picture event. Order forms and sign-ups will be announced soon.
Do you have tights? All dancers are required to have tights for recital. Dancers 1 years old to 5th grade must have ballet pink tights. Dancers in middle and high school need tan tights for jazz and tap and/or ballet pink tights for ballet, pointe, lyrical & contemporary. We have tights for sale at the front desk for $10 each.
